When my brother and I were kids, I can remember painting these plastic, Charlie Brown Christmas ornaments with him. My mother still has them. When you look at the ornaments together, mine and his, you can see our age difference of 2 1/2 years. I can remember not wanting him to be upset that his painting was not as neat as mine. We did so many things like that together as kids. We laugh at the difference in those ornaments every Christmas.
I took this picture of C and E painting ornaments. It reminded me of painting those Charlie Brown ornaments with my brother. The concentration, the Christmas excitement, the kid times you remember later.

Friends who make me leave the house, even though it is not in my nature to do so. It is always so much fun.
Why didn’t we take a picture? It is good to laugh and laugh!

An afternoon building this masterpiece with the kids was just what we needed to break up a hectic week.
