This year brought us baby S. I drove down to be there for her birth. I pressed my ear against the hospital room door so that I could hear her being born. It is a joy to watch you grow, baby S.

Thursdays are Popcorn Data Night or Nacho Date Night. It is the night we take a little time to just relax, celebrate that it is almost Friday, watch 30Rock, and enjoy the splendor of the Stir Crazy popcorn popper.
I am always thankful for Thursday nights together.

Inspired by Jote’s lovely blog, Bless Her Heart, I am starting my 30 Days of Gratitude.
I was struck by how lucky I am to have a little more time with E. before she starts school next year. She is ready to be with the big kids, go on field trips, carry a backpack, and be an independent little being. But today I stopped what I was working on, snuggled up in the chair with her and took a little nap. How many more times will I get to do that?
